James Gandolfini heading to Boston !!
Mar 11th, 2010
James Gandolfini may be heading to Boston for the feature film production, “Sexual Healing”. Gandolfini’s Production Company, Attaboy Films will produce the feature to be directed by Lauren Goodman. The film is based loosely on Steven Turner’s book “Trouble Man.” The story chronicles the final years of Marvin Gaye, who, after years of battling drugs and having parted ways with Motown, exiled himself to Europe. There, he was rescued by promoter Freddy Cousaert (Gandolfini), who helped Gaye record his biggest-selling album, “Midnight Love,” which produced Gaye’s monster comeback hit, “Sexual Healing.” Gaye’s life was cut short the day before his 45th birthday in 1984, when his father killed him. James Gandolfini is no stranger to the Bay State. He had a small part in the 1998 Feature, “A Civil Action”: the Woburn-based true story about the dumping of cancer-causing industrial solvents.
